He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Ernest Wood and Vera Estelle Youngblood Wood; his sisters, Dorothy Harper and Mary Helen Quarles; and his grandson Charles Luther Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Marial Charmaine Sweet Wood of Jefferson; his daughters, Rhonda Collins (Ronnie) of Comer, Rena Burroughs (Charlie) of Carlton and Tamiya Wood of Dallas; his grandchildren, Devin Collins (Callie), Danielle Wilson (Caleb) of Trey Brooks, T. J and Tela Wood; his great grandchild Westlynn Grace Wilson; and his siblings, Stanley Wood (Cindy), Buster Wood (Karen), Patricia Clark, Marie Carson (Bill) and Sheila Herring (Ricky).
