With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Merciel Jones Jr. (Jefferson, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2025 at the age of 43. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Jean and Merciel Jones. He is survived by: his wife Janie Jones of Winder, Georgia.; his children, AuBree Jones and BreAna Levesque (Daijon); his grandchildren, Noah, Aspen and Jenesis Levesque; and his siblings, Ashanda Cleveland (Walter), Sabrina Jones, Santricia Jones, Dearge Jones, Markez Jones (Angel), Corie Kelly, Daphine Evans (Bennie) and Charles Pope. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the New Salem Baptist Church (787 New Salem Church Rd, Jefferson, GA 30549).
