He is survived by: his stepson Maurice; his grandsons, Marques Sanford (Merricka) and Jacques Sanford (Trisha); his siblings, Annie Hughey (Willie), Mary R. Jackson, Carolyn Watson, Johnnie Mosley (Ted) and Wilmer "Roscoe" Jackson; and his brother-in-law Rev. L. Tarpkins.
