He was predeceased by: his parents, Avila J. Martel and Zelia Savard Martel; his wife Mary Anne LaRochelle Martel; his daughter Susan Sharpe of Schertz, Texas; and his siblings, Irene LaRochelle, Roland Martel and Roger Martel.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Martel of Oregon City, OR, Katherine Boyd (Spencer) of Maysville, Paul Martel (Cynthia) of Ludington, MI. and Pauline Villagomez (Jaime) of Jefferson; his son-in-law Chris Sharpe of Schertz, Texas; and his brother Leo Martel of Raymond, NH. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
