It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Douglas Hix of Jefferson, Georgia, born in Pendergrass, Georgia, who passed away on July 29, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Hix, Sr. and Vannie Lee Freeman Hix; his son Chad Hix; and his brothers, Ted and Donald Hix.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Howington Hix of Jefferson; his daughters, Kelley Hardigree (Todd) of Monroe and Audrey Gutherie (Corey) of Dawsonville; his grandchildren, Justin Hardigree, Brittany Halliday (Kile), Isabel Gutherie and Samuel Gutherie; his sister Peggy Hix of Jefferson; and his sisters-in-law, Corien Hix of Hoschton and Peggy L. Hix.
