He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurmond Odell Whitsel and Lavonia Elzora Boyd Whitsel; and his daughter Tanya Renee Whitsel Cain. He is survived by: his wife Sharon J. Whitsel of Jefferson, GA.; his daughter Karen Whitsel McDaniel; his son-in-law Michael of Gainesville, GA.; his brother Neal Whitsel of Danielsville, GA.; his grandchildren, Kenneth Logan McDaniel (Lucy) of Gainesville, GA., Candler Cain and Kinleigh Cain; and his children, David and Jenn Cain.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549).
