He was predeceased by: his parents, George Doris Childs and Reba Bowles Childs of Jefferson; and his son Chris Childs. He is survived by: his wife Judy Mathis Childs of Jefferson; his sons, Robby Childs (Melissa) of Jefferson and Jeff Childs (Anna) of Winder; his siblings, Estelle Wells (Joe) of Jefferson, Pat Smith (Randall) of Danielsville and Jack Childs (Elaine) of Jefferson; his grandchildren, Hannah Christensen, Caleb Childs, Madison Childs, Kelsey Childs, Austin Childs, Kristen Childs and Juliette Lewis; and his great grandchildren, Kaley, Zoey and Jaxson Christensen.
