He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Davis and Annie Ruth Adams Davis; his former wife Carolyn Bond Davis; his son Joel Kenneth Davis, II; his sister Carolyn Albritton; and his stepgrandson Jory Alexander Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Marty LaNelle Davis; his son David Davis (Stephanie) of Nicholson, GA; and his stepchildren, Lorraine Dipple (Ron) of Tryon, NC, Bennie Davis (Brenda) of Hornsby, TN and Andrew Davis (Sonia) of Dahlonega, GA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
