He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Otis Martin and Velma Cordelia Sherriff Martin; and his brothers, Billy, Johnny, Kenneth and Charles (James).

He is survived by: his children, Mitch Martin (Tonia) of Jefferson, Chris Martin (Dawn) of Jefferson and Terri Bennett (Travis) of Jefferson; and his sisters, Tina Gee (Teddy) of Jefferson, Katie Sue Phillips (David) of Maysville and Wanda Martin (Keith) of Maysville.
