She was predeceased by: her parents, Waymon Stephens and Lola Stephens; her siblings, James Stephens and Monteen Akins; and her sons, David Gene Mealor and Donny Ray Mealor.

She is survived by: her children, Patsy (Rex Wallace), Brenda (Dennis Brown) and Karl (Jenny Mealor). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brockton Road Baptist Church at 2675 Brockton Road, Jefferson, GA 30549.
