He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Leroy McCurley and Jessie Pearl Cline McCurley; his brother Bob McCurley; his former wife Alice McCurley; and his wife Grace Scoates.
He is survived by: his children, Fran Feller (Richard), Carol McCurley and Rob McCurley (Janet); his stepchildren, Dana Wildsmith (Don), Gaylon Scoates (Angie) and Luellen Hart (Ed); his grandchildren, Jennifer Lautenschlager, Cathy Lautenschlager (Jeremy Muhlich), Matt McCurley, Ali McCurley, Snow Wildsmith (Barry Gray), Andrew Hart, Elizabeth Butler (Frank) and Marcy Cheatham (Sid); and also, Alvin and Mac. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Corinth Memorial Gardens (1635 Hwy 81, Loganville, GA 30052).
