He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Belle Williams Perdue and Oscar Lee Perdue; his son Edward L. Perdue Jr.; his grandson Will Holley; his son-in-law Keith Holley; and his siblings, Dorothy Jacobs, Marian Lewis, Glatney Perdue and Marguerite Newsome.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Godowns Perdue; his daughters, Susan P. Holley, Jeanne P. Gay (Jeff) and Patti P. Rhodes (Randy); his grandchildren, Trent P. Holley (Ashley), Jacob R. Gay (Lauren), Jonathan E. Gay (Rachel), Kayla R. McNair (Jared) and Grayson B. Rhodes; his great grandchildren, Asher Holley, Addie Holley, Emme Holley, Aubrey Holley, Jake Gay, Luke Gay, Mary Eliza Gay, Barrett Gay and Birdie Gay; and his sister Emily P. Winters (Val). He is also survived by nieces; nephews; other extended family.
