It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie LaVern Pethel of Jefferson, Georgia, born in Commerce, Georgia, who passed away on January 31, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lloyd Pethel and Maggie Lorane Tate Pethel; his wife Deborah Dodd Pethel; and his siblings, Roger, Larry Joe Pethel and Pamela Pethel.
He is survived by: his children, Janice Dowker (Duane) of Winder and Edward Pethel (Rachel) of Commerce; his grandchildren, Traci Strickland (Blake) of Jefferson, Anthony Dowker (Jessica) of Jefferson, Zane, Cale and Cash Pethel of Commerce; and his siblings, Charles, Sammy Pethel, Demaris Bruce and Gail Standridge.
