With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Lee Burwell of Jefferson, Georgia, born in Augusta, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 29, 2024 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Goldman and Lillian Reese Goldman; her husband Edward Ingram Burwell (Ted); and her siblings, Raymond Goldman, John Goldman and Emmie Hallman.
She is survived by: her children, Lillian "Lynn" Mulvey (Shawn) of Jefferson and John Daniel "Dan" Burwell (Nanette) of Pittston, PA; her grandchildren, Lillianna Mulvey, Victoria Mulvey, Noah Mulvey (Grace Callow), Taylor Burwell (Keoni Johnson) and Dylan Burwell; her great grandchild Eden Reese Mulvey; her sister-in-law Reba Goldman; her children, Dot and Dotsy; and her granddaughter Dot Dot. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Because of her love for Asheville and the Biltmore House, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Operation Airdrop organization to provide aid to those in NC, SC, GA, and TN who were devastated by Hurricane Helene at https://operationairdrop.betterworld.org.
