He is survived by: his daughter Della Sims; his son-in-law Barry Sims of Jefferson, GA; his son Carlton Brooks of Athens, GA; and his grandchildren, Travis Williams, Brooks Williams, Elizabeth Brooks, Christopher Sims, Benjamin Sims and Holly Sims. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
