He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton Webb Evans and Ruth Carlson Evans; and his sister Joan Evans Mullen. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Mann Evans; his children, Robert Evans (Evelyn), Will Evans, Jennifer Anne Cornelius (Brad) and Tim Evans (Killian); and his grandchildren, Sandy Evans May (Graeme), Michael Evans (Hanna), Emma Cornelius, Lonnie Cornelius and Banks Evans.
