He is survived by: his friend Erwin Thompson; his daughter Daphne Carpenter; his wife Mary Julia Brown Carpenter; his grandchildren, Michael Thompson and Payton Bush; and his great grandchild Bree Thompson. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
