She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sims and Addie McCluster Sims; and her sisters, Sarah Ann Gunn, Leona Tate, Wilma Randolph (Otis Sims), Maybeth Sims and Mattie Watson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Josey (Charlie) of Jefferson and Beth Mitchell (Mike) of Athens; her grandchildren, Jaaliyah Mitchell of Athens, Ebony Mitchell of Colorado and Jada Mitchell of Athens; and her great grandchildren, Armani, Amir, Kennede and Alayah. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
