He is survived by: his son David; his daughter-in-law Cynthia Cochran of Flintstone; his daughter Nancy; his son-in-law Mark Maddox of Jasper; his brother James "Jimmy" Charles; his sister-in-law Brenda Cochran of Ellijay; his niece Kelly (Adam Prather); and his great-nephews, Micah Austin Prather of Jasper and Ridge August Prather of Jasper.
