He is survived by: his wife Patricia Carmichael of Jasper; his daughters, Sarah Carmichael of Allen, TX and Amy Maresca (Robert) of Lilburn, GA; his stepchildren, Doug Zukowski (Gina) of Chattanooga, TN and Beth Jenkins of Chattanooga, TN; his brother Alan Carmichael (Olga) of Alcoa, TN; and his grandchildren, Landon Maresca, Milley Maresca, Emily Maresca, Alex Zukowski, Will Zukowski, Caleb Jenkins and Belle Jenkins.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, make donations to Lewy Body Dementia Association.
