With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Joe Payne in Jasper, Georgia, born in Canton, Georgia, who passed away on February 3, 2025 at the age of 72. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Thomas Joe Payne to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Payne and Jessie Payne; and his sister Esther Lea Payne Moody. He is survived by: his son Toby Joe Payne; and his siblings, Helen Burke (Jerry), Evelyn Cammons (Ray), Mary "Dee" Jastrzemski, William "Will" Payne, Jeanette "Selene" Leonard and Eddie Payne. He is also survived by two grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Sosebee Funeral Home (191 Jarvis St, Canton, GA 30114). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
