We bid farewell to Stephen Robert Cheshier (Jasper, Georgia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 13, 2024 at the age of 84. Stephen Robert touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline Cheshier (Joseph "Joe" G. Mason) and George Cheshier. He is survived by: his sons, David Mark Cheshier and John Michael Cheshier; his daughter-in-law Jenny Geiger; his wife Joyce Hadley; his granddaughter Rebekah; his cousins, Mitch Mason, Lori Farrar and Sara Ann Johnson; and also, Gayle Daniels of Truckee, CA, Marily and David Yaw.

The family gratefully requests, in lieu of flowers, that those who loved Steve consider making a donation in his name to East Cobb Church of Christ Missions.

He made an enormous contribution to higher education in the state of Georgia, overseeing the growth of "Southern Tech" to Southern Polytechnic State University. His subsequent work in developing the Cobb Education Consortium was also vital in connecting all the educational entities in the county. I join the many faculty, staff, and students who are grateful for the leadership he offered.”
