He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy McCowen (Pilgrim); and his parents, Louis F. McCowen and Eleanor Wadley (Wade). He is survived by: his children, Michael McCowen, Jr. (Angel), Rusty McCowen (Betsy), Kelley Kristain McCowen and Casey McCowen (Catrina); his siblings, Loring R. "Bubba" Wadley and Marsha Timm; and his grandchildren, Michael, David, Alexis, Joy, Zoe, Austin, Ryan, Landon, Autumn, Jason, Case and Kaylin. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and numerous other family members.
