He was predeceased by: his wife Priscilla May Van Der (Kehler); his parents, George W. Der and Marjorie Van Der (Bromley); and his siblings-in-law, Edward Kehler, J. Wade Hill and Grace Kehler.
He is survived by: his sister Judy Hill (Van Der Decker); and his children, Janet Farrell (Neil), Peter Van Der (Pam) and David Van Der (Virginia). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
