We are sad to announce that on February 10, 2024, at the age of 97, Irene Shope Anderson of Jasper, Georgia, born in Birmingham, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Miles W. Shope and Annie Sue Shope; her husband Clifford Anderson; her son Lawrence Anderson; and her grandson Kolby Dobbins.
She is survived by: her children, Doris Dobbins (John) of Jacksonville, FL, Don Anderson (Martha) of Acworth, Cecil Anderson (Pam) of Blue Ridge, Gary Anderson of Nelson, Wanda Fouts (Randall) of Marble Hill and Lisa Garrison (Wes) of Canton; her grandsons, Kent Dobbins (Arlena), Craig Anderson, Kirk Anderson (Leanna), Nathan Fouts, Caleb Fouts, Trey Garrison and Luc Anderson; her great grandchildren, Lauren Dobbins, Alexa Anderson, Emma Kate Dobbins, Cameron Anderson, Lindsey Dobbins, Ewan Anderson and Callum Anderson; her siblings, Henry Shope (Evelyn), James Shope (Carol), Betty Collins, Clarence Shope, Bernice Payne and Martha Daugherty; and her sisters-in-law, Carrie Shope and Abalee Anderson Samples. She is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be made in Irene's memory to the Gospel Temple Cemetery Care Fund, P.O. Box 453, Tate, GA 30177. And respectfully ask that no food be brought to funeral home.
