It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Eugene Prather of Jasper, Georgia, who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edd Prather and Irene Prather; and his sisters, Lula Little, Lorene Batson and Carolyn O'Neal.

He is survived by: his sisters, Barbara P. Wood of Jasper and Ethelene Nix of Monroe; his nephews, Ken Wood of Jasper, Kimsey, Connor Head, Joe Dowda of Jasper and Ted (Sandy Thacker); and his niece Jan (Jody Dowda).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in care of Leonard Owens; 79 Thomason Farms Drive; Talking Rock, GA 30175.
