With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christine New of Jasper, Georgia, who passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd J. Brownlee and Ruby Mae Brownlee; her spouse G. W. New; her son-in-law Jimmy Wyatt; and her sisters, Jo Ann Dimatteo and Betty White.
She is survived by: her children, Russell New (Susan) and Karen Wyatt; her grandchildren, Andrew Wyatt, Steven New (Lisa), Cheryl New, Heather Wyatt and Matthew New (Jessica); and her great grandchildren, Julian New and Noelle New. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cagle Funeral Home (364 E Church St, Jasper, GA 30143). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens (3150 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084).
