It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carl Stancil of Jasper, Georgia, who passed away on March 9, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Stancil and Ida Mae Stancil Sr.; his wife Frankie Jean Stancil; and his sisters, Ola Bell and Helen.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Stancil (Ricki Tucker), Michael (Marian Stancil), Donna (Bobby Marshall) and Leslie Stancil of Jasper; his grandchildren, Penny, Shawn, Gabrielle, Kristi, Tabitha, Clate, Amy, Laura and Jade; his brothers, Perry Stancil and Doug; his sister-in-law Pam Stancil; his sister Vivian Westbrook; and his siblings-in-law, Sara O'Shields, Leon, Brenda, Bobby Quick and Coreen Thomason. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Roper Funeral Home and Crematory (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143). A burial was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at the Refuge Baptist Church (1651 State Rte 143, Jasper, GA 30143).
