He is survived by: his children, Wanda Barlow (Darrell) of Jacksonville, Gary Spires (Peggie) of Jacksonville, Michelle Plyler of Eastman and Justin Spires (Ashley) of Jacksonville; and his siblings, Rayford Spires (Emmagene) of Hinesville and Bernice Ryals (William) of Rhine. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
