He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Wade Short, Jr. and Virginia Lee Walters Short; and his brother Stephen Short. He is survived by: his wife Ana M. Short; his sons, Brian A. Short and Robbie S. Short; and his sister Sammye Torres. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
