She was predeceased by: her parents, James Dewey Boatwright and Doris Ann Long Boatwright; and her son Randy Lowell Simmons. She is survived by: her son Ronnie; her daughter-in-law Deborah Simmons; her daughter Rachel Simmons; her brother Danny Boatwright; and her close friend Gene Savage. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
