He was predeceased by: his parents, Fant Martin and Vada Martin Maddox; and his son Freddy Martin. He is survived by: his close friend Peggy Peters; his son Joe Martin (Terri) of South Carolina; his daughter-in-law Linda Martin of Madison County, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Chris Martin, Michael Martin, Joey Martin, Matthew Martin and Amanda Martin. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, numerous cousins.
