He is survived by: his children, Lori Ann Davis (Mike), Scott Thorpe Johnston and Mark Anthony Johnston (Angela); his grandchildren, Jenna Lauren James (David), Zachary Michael Davis, Kyle Thorpe Johnston and Maggie Pearl Johnston; and his great grandchildren, Michael James, Benjamin James, Eliana James, Noah James, Daniel James, Samuel James and Gabriel James.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Grace Baptist in Locust Grove, Ga.
