She was predeceased by: her parents, James Stephens, Sr. and Bernice Vaughn Stephens; her husband William Herbert Barnes; and her brother James D. Stephens, Jr. (Margaret). She is survived by: her children, Penny (Danny Patterson) and David (Karon Barnes); and her grandchildren, Danielle (Destin Smith), Alex (Stacey Patterson), Adam (Michelle Barnes) and Lauren (Will Stanford). She is also survived by 11 Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be given to Brightmoor Hospice Center in Griffin, Ga. in honor of Mrs. Barnes.
