It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Rooks Sherrell of Jackson, Georgia, who passed away on February 22, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Bryant Rawls and Emma Joe Caston Rawls; her husbands, Jessie Earl Rooks and John A. Sherrell; her grandson Matt Cardell; her great grandchildren, Carolyn Reinhardt and Katie Rooks; and her siblings, Winona Cook and Dewitt Rawls.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie (Ann Rooks) of Jackson, Dennis Rooks of Jackson, Bonnie Richardson of Jackson and Becky (Eddie Cardell); her sister Mary McCrackin of Jackson; and her sister-in-law Betty Rawls of Mt Pleasant, SC. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
