He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucio Perez and Dora Perez Sr.; his daughter Emeline Hernandez; and his siblings, Abelino Perez and Bertha Maybray.
He is survived by: his children, Eugenio Perez (Iris), Gabriel Perez and Magdalena Perez (Rick); his wife Dolletta Montgomery; his siblings, Geronimo Perez (Brunilda), Benito Perez, Joe Perez, Estella Lassiter, Janie Flores (Felix), Mary Aguilar (Thomas), Eva Vallejo and Celia Perez; and his stepchildren, Mary Montgomery, Marian Stachowiak (Jeff), Manuel Abero and Ricky Parham (Samantha). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
