He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Deptula and Elizabeth Deptula; his former wife Williamina Knox; his grandson Cameron John Michael; his sister Cecelia Ann Deptula; and his stepbrother Jack "Duane" Hauser, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, John Michael Deptula, Wendy Marie Watson, Brandy Marie Deptula and Shannon Marie Deptula-Ingram (Chad); his siblings, Sandie Seymore, Joseph Vincent Deptula (Gail) and Michelle Hand (Stephen); and his stepsiblings, Mary Lou Hauser, Valray Hauser McDonald and Robert Hauser (Angel). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
