He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Coleman and Annie Rebecca Britton Coleman; his daughter Johnna Denise Coleman Taylor; and his siblings, Jennifer Coleman Garr and R. Scott Coleman.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Thaxton Coleman of LaFayette, GA; his children, Jeff Coleman (Sandra) of Jackson, GA and Marti Smith (Lee) of Chickamauga, GA; his son-in-law David Taylor (LaRae) of LaFayette, GA; his brother-in-law David Garr; his grandchildren, Beth Johnson (Randy), TJ Parrish of LaFayette, GA, Lindsey Hunt (Matt) of Monticello, GA, Allie Coleman of Jackson, GA and Cole Smith of Chickamauga, GA; and his great grandchildren, Katie Johnson, Brodie Johnson, Myles Hunt, Josie Jones and Amelia Hunt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
