He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Otis Barnes and Lula Pike Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Frances Copeland Barnes; his children, Brenda Hammond, Roy and Melissa Copeland; and his grandchildren, Michelle, David Cook and Timmy Copeland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
