She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Whindleton and James Whindleton; her siblings, James Whindleton, Floyd Whindleton, Eartha Stevens and Margaret Whindleton; and her husband Eugene Alexander.

She is survived by: her children, Sandra Alexander (Carl Alexander) and Carl Alexander; her granddaughter Rasheedah Lovett; her grandson-in-law William Lovett; her great grandchildren, William Lovett Jr. and Taylor Lovett; and her sisters-in-law, Serleen Alexander and Christine Alexander. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
