She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Cowart and Minnie Cowart. She is survived by: her daughter Joni; her son-in-law David Schardien; her grandchildren, J. B., Caroline, Savannah and Kennedy of Loganville, Georgia.; her sister Rosemary; and her brother-in-law Ted Hutson of Griffin.
