She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Kemp and Lola Barfield Kemp; and her husband James Isaiah Whittington. She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Tiller (Russell) and Donna Hader (Bob); her grandsons, Daniel Nix (Victoria) and David Nix (Chelsea); and her great grandchildren, Hayley, James, Emma and Calloway. She is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
