We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2023, at the age of 91, Betty Irene Gilbert of Jackson, Georgia, born in Marietta, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everette Henry Waters and Lucille Wright Waters; her husbands, Hiram Lee Smith and Henry Lee Gilbert; her son Samuel Hiram Smith; and her grandsons, Levi Bragg and Jeremy Booth.
She is survived by: her children, David, Renee Smith, Bonnie Sue Harper and Gary Smith; and her sisters, Rebecca Byrd, Mary Bledsoe and Sue Cochran. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Worthville Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 112 Old South River Road, Jackson, Georgia 30233.
