He is survived by: his wife Shirley Todd Whipple; his children, Deborah Whipple-Wilson and Timothy Whipple; and his sisters, Thelma Collins-Downing (Ray), Carolyn Whipple-Strange (Nathaniel), Mary Lou Whipple-Allen (John) and Emma Jean Whipple-Strange (Elbert).
