He is survived by: his wife Wanda Givens Rykard of Iron City, GA; his sons, Ashley Rykard (Shona) of Donalsonville, GA and Adam Rykard (Haley) of Iron City, GA; his grandchildren, Blake Rykard of Donalsonville, GA and Hattie Rykard of Iron City, GA; and his brother Ronnie Rykard of Iron City, GA..

“To Wanda (Rogers bride) and family. I am so very sorry for your loss. Roger was one of the most Godly men that I have known. I have no doubt that when he passed he came into the presence of the Lord. I would often go to Rogers office and spend time talking with him. Wanda I remember he always referred to you as his bride. You could tell Roger loved his God, family and church with all his heart. I called Roger about a year and a half ago and had a great conversation. God bless. Ricky Forrester”
