He was predeceased by: his parents, Carolyn Saunders Bell and James T. Bell; and his brother Vaughan T. Bell. He is survived by: his children, Susan D. Griggs, James C. Bell II and Chad Custalow; his grandchildren, Chris Morris, James Bell Jr., Grace Bell, Dylan Dixon, Stephanie Dixon and Jessica Dixon; and his sister Susan E. Ramp. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
