He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward McIlwain and Thelma Ray McIlwain; and his brother William McIlwain. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Smith McIlwain; his children, Gordon McIlwain (Sheila), Brad McIlwain (Carol), Greg McIlwain and Selena McIlwain; and his stepson Chris Davis. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
