He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Colon Swanner and Barbara Moulton Swanner Skillen; his parents-in-law, Jean Hall and Edward Hall; and his grandparents, James Colon and Deliah G. Swanner.

He is survived by: his wife Pam Hall Swanner; his children, Paige Brookins (Bob), Christy Spooner, Jamie Ingram (Lee) and Jeffrey Swanner (Mindy Powell); and his grandchildren, Cody Spooner, Katie, Thomas Brookins, Devin, Addie Hamilton, Gunner, Maeson Powell and Bryson Chance.
