He was predeceased by: his parents, Aristo Cowart and Eunice Toole Cowart; his siblings, Berry Lee Cowart, Jimmy Toole, Stanley Cowart, Gene Cowart, Joanne Morris and Gwen Hurley; and his granddaughter Kalista.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Cowart of Iron City, GA; his children, Josh Cowart and Kelly Cowart of Iron City, GA; his grandchildren, Layton, Gavohn and Leah; and his sisters, Brenda Gayle Hunter (Ray) of Iron City, GA and Veda Bellflower of Bainbridge, GA.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
