He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hoyt and Kathleen Elrod Kitchens; and his daughter Catherine Mae Kitchens. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Slater Kitchens; his children, Michael Kitchens, Jody Kitchens, Amy Miller, Melissa Cowart and Tammy Jilks; and his brother Junior Hoyt Kitchens. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
